The historic building, whose construction dates back before 1789 is perhaps the most imposing of the buildings made in Como by the Swiss architect Simone Cantoni.
The quadrangolar body of the building is organized on two inner courtyards and spread over three floors.
Some rooms still have decorations made on the occasion of renewal of the intervention designed precisely to Cantoni and attributed to the painter Giuseppe Mametti.
In the ceiling of the central hall there is a fresco that depicts Zeus, Hera and Hebe Hercules with her husband, in another ceiling there is another fresco depicting Venus and Cupid, ecc.
